The site is hot! The code is excellent, clean and mean. The design is… well… cute. It looks hip and cool but doesn’t seem to reflect the purpose or brand. I don’t get it- pattern paper with hole punches, tags tied together with string, …etc. it seems a bit of “look what I can do” with Photoshop. I prefer the look of the last version of the site but still hot- still very very hot. Great work guys! Am I to assume that this is another powered by WordPress project?
It’s an internally built backend that we’ve referred to as “Dudepress 2.0″ in the past. It’s an upgraded version of the original “Dudepress 1.0″ etnies backend. Same thing Emericaskate.com is using.
the design reflects where the brand is going mostly based off the print campign for ‘07. it will tie VERY closely with the print campaign then, so right now is an odd point where, cpawl might be right about it not reflecting the brand. but stay updated and check it out when the ‘07 print campaign launches.
Personally I think the Comic Sans thing works here… somehow you guys got away with that. Looking forward to checking out the new print campaign, should be hot too.
Haha, I just noticed that in the screenshot the right side area that gets recent posts is pulling the same blog item twice (Welcome to the new etnies Girl site)! That’s since been fixed of course.
